Patch Campbell and I started working on Pika’s Peak a year ago this month. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long, because it’s been such a whirlwind of adventure. We’re finally almost ready to release it into the world, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Here’s the plan. We’re going to launch the comic on Patreon first, one page per week. For a mere $1 a month, you’ll get to see the comic months before the rest of the world! For $2 a month, you’ll get the comic AND a look behind the scenes with patron-only process art, blog posts, photos, and more. There will be higher-level subscription tiers with more perks, but you get the idea. Then, sometime in May (probably), we will release Pika’s Peak for free to the rest of the world. Patreon folks will continue to see each new page a week or two in advance, along with getting cool perks unavailable anywhere else.
So what’s left before we announce the Patreon launch? Not much! Right now we are polishing our pages and working on our patron perks. We’re just a few tweaks away from making the Patreon page live and announcing a launch date, which we’re hoping to do any day now! The best way to know when that happens is to like the Pika’s Peak Facebook Page, because we update that first. I also post regular updates on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Instagram, and my personal Facebook page. There are so many ways to stay connected — pick your favorites, and stay tuned!
UPDATE 3.1.2017: Our Patreon page is live! We’ll start posting the comic on March 7th; meanwhile check out our page and see a sample of the kinds of posts only patrons will have access to. If you sign on, there’s even more content waiting for you already!
